Senior Manager, Global Tax

About the Opportunity

A leading global, publicly traded organization is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Global Tax to join its corporate tax leadership team. Reporting directly to the Head of Tax, this highly visible role will lead global income tax accounting and reporting while serving as a strategic advisor to regional finance and business leaders across North and Latin America.

The successful candidate will possess deep expertise in ASC 740, global tax compliance, transfer pricing, tax planning, and tax risk management. This position offers significant exposure to executive leadership, M&A activity, business transformation initiatives, and enterprise-wide tax strategy.


Key Responsibilities

  • Lead quarterly and annual global income tax provision processes in accordance with ASC 740 and U.S. GAAP.
  • Oversee collection, review, and consolidation of domestic and international tax data to support financial reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and review technical tax accounting analyses involving uncertain tax positions, valuation allowances, reinvestment assertions, and other complex tax matters.
  • Manage tax-related disclosures for SEC filings, management reporting, board presentations, and non-GAAP reporting.
  • Serve as the global process owner for income tax accounting, reporting, and related internal controls.
  • Drive tax forecasting and budgeting activities, including effective tax rate, cash tax planning, and intercompany transactions.
  • Lead external audit support, SOX compliance activities, and tax governance initiatives.
  • Partner with finance, legal, treasury, operations, and business leaders to provide tax guidance on strategic and operational initiatives.
  • Oversee regional tax compliance, planning, transfer pricing, and risk management programs.
  • Identify and execute tax optimization opportunities related to restructurings, supply chain initiatives, incentives, and legal entity planning.
  • Support mergers, acquisitions, divestitures, and other corporate transactions through tax due diligence and structuring analysis.
  • Manage transfer pricing policies, documentation, compliance, and controversy matters.
  • Lead interactions with tax authorities, audits, examinations, and external advisors.
  • Monitor legislative and regulatory developments and assess business impacts and planning opportunities.
  • Oversee indirect tax governance, including sales and use tax, VAT, GST, and other transaction tax matters.
  • Champion process improvement, automation, analytics, and technology enhancements across the tax function.
  • Develop, mentor, and lead tax professionals while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 8+ years of progressive corporate tax experience within public accounting and/or multinational corporate environments.
  • Significant experience with ASC 740 income tax accounting and reporting.
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. federal, state, international, and multinational tax regulations.
  • Experience overseeing tax provision, compliance, reporting, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing tax professionals and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong project management, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CPA and/or Master’s degree in Taxation.
  • Experience within a multinational public company environment.
  • Expertise in transfer pricing, international tax planning, and global tax governance.
  • Experience supporting Latin American tax jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge of SEC reporting and SOX compliance requirements.
  • Background supporting M&A, restructuring, and other strategic transactions.
  • Experience with ERP, tax technology, analytics, and reporting platforms such as SAP, Power BI, or comparable systems.
  • Demonstrated success driving automation, process improvement, and tax transformation initiatives.
