I am delighted to be partnering with a large international infrastructure organisation seeking an experienced Group Treasurer to lead its global treasury function during a period of significant investment and growth.

This is a strategically important leadership role, reporting into the CFO and acting as a trusted adviser to senior executives and the Board. The successful candidate will be responsible for shaping treasury strategy, ensuring robust funding and liquidity management, overseeing financial risk, and supporting long-term business growth across multiple international markets.

The Role

As Group Treasurer, you will lead a specialist treasury team and take ownership of all treasury activities across the organisation. You will balance strategic leadership with operational excellence, ensuring the business has the financial flexibility and risk management framework needed to achieve its objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering the group’s treasury strategy in alignment with broader business objectives.
  • Managing liquidity, cash flow forecasting and working capital across the organisation.
  • Leading funding activities, including bank financing, debt capital markets and lender engagement.
  • Maintaining strong relationships with banks, investors, credit rating agencies and other financial stakeholders.
  • Overseeing foreign exchange, interest rate and counterparty risk management frameworks.
  • Managing investment portfolios and long-term funding arrangements.
  • Ensuring compliance with treasury policies, governance requirements, financial regulations and reporting obligations.
  • Providing expert treasury advice to executive leadership, Board committees and key stakeholders.
  • Supporting major corporate initiatives, investments, business change programmes and strategic projects.
  • Developing a high-performing treasury team and fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.

Requirements

The organisation are seeking an accomplished treasury leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong commercial judgement and the ability to influence at the highest levels of an organisation.

Essential Experience

  • Significant senior treasury leadership experience within a large, complex international organisation.
  • Proven success developing and executing treasury strategy in support of business growth and transformation.
  • Experience operating in highly regulated or capital-intensive sectors.
  • Strong track record of managing funding programmes, liquidity, financial risk and stakeholder relationships.
  • Experience engaging with banks, lenders, investors and credit rating agencies.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence executive leadership teams and Boards on strategic financial matters.
  • Experience building, developing and leading high-performing specialist teams.
