Tax Specialist
Brewer Morris is partnering with a fast-growing international e-commerce business to recruit a Senior Tax Specialist. This is an excellent opportunity for a VAT-focused tax professional looking to broaden their exposure across corporate tax, transfer pricing and international tax compliance in a dynamic, multi-jurisdictional environment.
Reporting to the Global Tax Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring robust tax compliance across the organisation, supporting tax audits and helping to safeguard the group’s global tax position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee indirect tax compliance across multiple jurisdictions, working closely with shared service centres and external advisors to ensure accurate and timely VAT filings.
- Review VAT treatment of cross-border transactions, including B2B, B2C, OSS and IOSS arrangements.
- Manage VAT returns, reconciliations and supporting data, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Identify and mitigate VAT risks arising from business operations, including logistics flows, invoicing, returns and credit note processes.
- Drive improvements in tax processes, controls and documentation to strengthen governance and reduce risk.
- Support direct tax compliance activities, including Corporate Income Tax (CIT), Withholding Tax (WHT), Transfer Pricing documentation (Local File and Master File) and Pillar Two requirements.
- Review and provide input on intercompany agreements and related-party arrangements, ensuring alignment with transfer pricing policies and operational realities.
- Act as the primary point of contact for tax audits, particularly VAT audits, coordinating responses with tax authorities and external advisors.
- Maintain clear, accurate and audit-ready tax documentation, including tax accounting support and reporting requirements.
About You
- Several years of tax experience gained within an international, multi-country and multi-entity environment.
- Strong indirect tax/VAT expertise, with a solid understanding of cross-border transactions and international supply chains.
- Exposure to corporate tax and transfer pricing matters is advantageous.
- Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP.
- Advanced Excel skills and strong analytical capabilities.
- Comfortable managing multiple priorities and stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
