International Tax Specialist

Amsterdam (Hybrid)

We are supporting a leading international organisation in Amsterdam looking to appoint an experienced International Tax Specialist to join their European tax team.

This is a broad, commercially focused role offering exposure across multiple jurisdictions and tax disciplines. You will work closely with senior stakeholders across finance, legal and operations, playing a key role in delivering pragmatic, business-aligned tax solutions.

The role

As part of a collaborative and international team, you will:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and external advisors to deliver timely, high-quality tax advice
  • Support strategic projects, restructurings and new business initiatives across Europe and globally
  • Ensure accurate and compliant tax reporting, including CIT and VAT filings
  • Monitor legislative developments and assess the impact on the business
  • Manage tax audits and liaise with tax authorities where required
  • Contribute to tax planning initiatives and help drive a tax-efficient operating model
  • Support tax provisioning and reporting processes
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, automation and efficiencies

Your profile

  • 8+ years’ experience in international tax, gained within a Big 4 / advisory firm or multinational environment
  • Broad technical exposure (corporate tax, VAT, transfer pricing and/or tax accounting)
  • Strong understanding of cross-border tax matters and tax reporting requirements
  • Commercial mindset with the ability to translate complex tax issues into clear, practical advice
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Fluent in English (Dutch or another European language is a plus)
  • Degree in Tax Law, Tax Economics or a related field
