About the Opportunity

The Tax Manager will play a key leadership role in overseeing domestic and international tax matters, partnering closely with finance and business leadership to manage risk and optimize the company’s global tax position.

Key Responsibilities
Compliance & Reporting
- Oversee preparation and filing of U.S. federal, state, and international tax returns, including income tax, franchise tax, and indirect taxes (VAT/GST)
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual tax provisions under ASC 740 / IAS 12
- Ensure accuracy and completeness of tax accounting and reporting
Tax Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize effective tax rate (ETR) and manage global cash taxes
- Lead global transfer pricing strategy, including documentation, modeling, and intercompany agreements
- Support tax planning related to capital investments, restructuring, and cross-border transactions
Transfer Pricing & International Tax
- Oversee and defend transfer pricing policies across global operations involving tangible goods and services
- Ensure compliance with OECD guidelines and global documentation requirements
- Support intercompany transaction structuring and analysis
Risk Management & Audits
- Manage tax audits and examinations with domestic and international tax authorities
- Coordinate responses and defense strategies with internal stakeholders and external advisors
- Monitor global tax law changes (e.g., BEPS, Pillar Two) and assess impacts on the organization
Leadership & Continuous Improvement
- Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members and/or direct reports
- Establish performance expectations and support team development
- Drive process improvements within the tax function to increase efficiency and reduce risk
- Partner cross-functionally with finance leadership and business stakeholders
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 5+ years of progressive tax experience in a corporate, manufacturing, or public accounting environment (Big 4 preferred)
- Strong expertise in ASC 740 (tax provision) and transfer pricing
- Experience with U.S. federal/state and international tax matters
Preferred:
- CPA and/or Master’s in Taxation
- Experience supporting multinational operations
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Deep knowledge of U.S. and international tax laws (including GILTI, Subpart F, foreign tax credits)
- Familiarity with global tax reform initiatives (BEPS, Pillar Two)
- Advanced tax modeling and analytical capabilities
- Experience with tax software, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and Excel
Leadership & Communication
- Strong ability to communicate complex tax concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Proven experience managing audits and defending tax positions
- Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management
- Ability to lead initiatives and influence decisions across the organization
