I am partnered with one of the leading Accountancy Practice firms, currently experiencing sustained growth within their Not for Profit Audit team. The team and the firm more broadly, are recognised for their strong technical capability, which remains a key focus when considering new hires. The firm is keen to consider newly qualified or recently qualified auditors who are ready to take the step up to Assistant Manager level.

The Not for Profit Audit team is one of the strongest performers in the market, led by sector specialists with a well-established and high-quality client portfolio across charities, education, social housing and other not-for-profit organisations. What stands out most is the team’s genuine commitment to the sector, with individuals at all levels demonstrating a clear passion for supporting not-for-profit clients.

Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for a portfolio of not-for-profit audit clients across Social Housing, Charities, Education, and related organisations
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, supporting senior team members while developing your own client-facing and relationship-management skills
  • Assist in managing the end-to-end audit process, including planning, delegation, review of work, and delivery in line with firm standards
  • Support the development and supervision of junior team members on audit assignments
  • Keep up to date with technical developments and regulatory updates relevant to the Not for Profit sector

Requirements:

  • ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Experience working with Not for Profit clients, ideally including Social Housing
  • Demonstrable interest in the Not for Profit sector and a genuine motivation to specialise within it
  • Experience working as part of an audit team in a UK Practice environment, with exposure to supervising or reviewing junior staff
