This is a unique opportunity to join an organization transitioning from early‑stage operations into a fully integrated, high‑growth manufacturing platform.

The CFO will be the company’s first true strategic finance leader and will play a central role in shaping financial discipline, driving operational excellence, and preparing the business for long‑term value creation.

The company operates a growing manufacturing footprint in Houston and is expanding capacity to support increasing customer demand. With a strong revenue base and ongoing investments in automation, system upgrades, and vertical integration, the business is positioning itself for substantial scale over the coming years.

The next phase of growth includes:

  • Expanding manufacturing capacity through the acquisition of an additional facility
  • Increasing internal production of key components
  • Strengthening financial infrastructure and systems
  • Preparing for potential outside investment and long‑term capital events

Role Overview

The CFO will be both a hands-on operator and a strategic executive, responsible for building a high-performance finance function and supporting an active manufacturing environment. This leader will oversee all financial operations while driving modernization across processes, systems, and reporting.

The role requires someone who is equally comfortable advising ownership on strategic initiatives and rolling up their sleeves to support daily financial activity. This is a builder role suited for a finance leader who thrives in fast-paced, founder-led businesses undergoing rapid expansion.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership & Operations

  • Lead, develop, and elevate the existing accounting and finance team
  • Oversee daily financial activities to support a growing, multi‑shift manufacturing operation
  • Build scalable workflows, controls, and reporting mechanisms
  • Strengthen budgeting, forecasting, and performance measurement capabilities

Financial Systems & Infrastructure

  • Modernize financial systems and drive process automation
  • Implement improved reporting frameworks and internal controls
  • Lead ERP optimization efforts (SAP S/4HANA experience preferred)

Strategic Financial Management

  • Serve as the financial partner to ownership and senior leadership
  • Guide the business through a major growth and capital investment cycle
  • Support evaluation and integration of future facility expansions
  • Enhance investor‑facing materials and assist with funding activities

Long-Term Planning & Value Creation

  • Prepare the company for potential institutional investment
  • Support efforts related to vertical integration and product capability expansion
  • Contribute to long‑term planning as the business moves toward significant revenue targets and potential future liquidity events

Required Experience

  • Background in manufacturing, industrials, or other capital‑intensive businesses
  • Proven ability to build and scale finance teams in high‑growth environments
  • Strong command of FP&A, cash management, and operational finance
  • Experience working closely with founders or entrepreneurs
  • Track record supporting capital raises, investor communications, or similar activities
  • Demonstrated ability to operate at both the strategic and tactical levels
  • SAP S/4HANA or comparable ERP experience

Preferred Experience

  • Exposure to IPO preparation or publicly traded environments
  • Mandarin proficiency

Who Will Thrive in This Role

This opportunity is ideal for a CFO who enjoys creating structure from the ground up. They need someone who is energized by operational complexity, long-term strategy development, and the challenge of scaling a business with ambitious growth goals. The right leader will bring the maturity of a seasoned finance executive combined with the agility and grit required in a rapidly evolving manufacturing setting.
