Walter is the Chief Tax Officer at First Horizon Bank, leading the full corporate tax function for one of the largest banks in the U.S.

With over three decades of senior tax leadership across major financial institutions, he brings deep expertise in corporate tax strategy, ASC 740 and federal and state compliance.

A licensed attorney, CPA and CFP, Walter also serves as TEI International President (2025–2026) and is widely recognized for his contributions to the tax profession.
