Opportunity Highlights

We are partnered with a U.S. based leading manufacturer on an Assistant Corporate Controller. This role will oversee corporate accounting, financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership role that works closely with senior finance leadership and plays a key part in driving operational excellence across the accounting function.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Lead and oversee core accounting functions, including general accounting, financial reporting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and tax coordination.
  • Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Prepare and review quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
  • Maintain oversight of general ledger activity, account reconciliations, and financial controls.
  • Partner with senior leadership to develop and implement process improvements, automation initiatives, and enhanced reporting capabilities.
  • Drive cross-functional projects focused on efficiency, scalability, and continuous improvement.
  • Support audit activities and ensure timely execution of audit recommendations.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop accounting team members while fostering a culture of accountability and professional growth.
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with corporate policies and financial reporting requirements.

What They’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; MBA or Master of Accounting preferred, CPA designation strongly preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting and/or finance experience, including public accounting and/or industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial statement preparation.
  • Experience leading and/or developing staff or additional team members.
  • Experience collaborating across multiple business functions and stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • ERP system experience (Oracle, JD Edwards, or similar) preferred.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency required.
