Senior Manager – Private Tax / Funds Tax
Overview
We are seeking an accomplished Senior Manager to join a high‑performing Private Tax team within a leading advisory environment. This role is ideal for a driven tax professional looking to lead significant client engagements, contribute to strategic growth and play a senior role in shaping the direction of the team.
The team works with a diverse portfolio of entrepreneurial and owner‑managed businesses, PE‑backed and AIM‑listed organisations, as well as shareholders, family offices, ultra‑high‑net‑worth individuals, private equity clients and professional partnerships. The position offers exposure to complex, high‑profile work across multiple jurisdictions in a collaborative and ambitious environment.
This role is offered on a hybrid working basis.

Key Responsibilities
As a Senior Manager, you will:
  • Build, manage and strengthen long‑term strategic client relationships
  • Lead business development initiatives and identify opportunities to grow the practice
  • Oversee and deliver complex and demanding tax compliance and advisory engagements
  • Ensure high technical standards and provide commercially focused, practical solutions
  • Lead, supervise and mentor junior team members, supporting their development
  • Contribute to wider team initiatives including training, retention, recruitment and continuous improvement

Skills and Attributes for Success
What We’re Looking For
  • Proven ability in relationship management with strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Confident negotiator able to articulate and defend technical positions
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and winning work
  • Strong project‑management capabilities with a focus on delivery, quality and budget oversight
  • Excellent technical tax expertise with experience reviewing complex compliance workstreams and providing technical guidance
  • Experience advising Funds clients is advantageous
  • ACA/CTA (or equivalent tax qualification) preferred
  • Experience with CCH or similar tax software
