We are supporting a fast‑growing national audit, tax and advisory firm with a strong UK footprint and international reach. Following continued expansion of their Thames Valley corporate tax practice, the team is looking to appoint a Corporate Tax Assistant Manager – ideal for a newly qualified professional looking to take their next career step.

The Opportunity
As an Assistant Manager, you’ll support senior tax leaders on UK and cross‑border advisory projects while managing a portfolio of corporate tax compliance work. Clients range from fast‑growing owner‑managed businesses to large international groups across a broad mix of sectors.
You’ll build strong client relationships, support junior colleagues, and become involved in business development initiatives as you grow within the team.
Key Responsibilities
Client Delivery
- Manage corporate tax compliance for a varied portfolio of clients.
- Assist on advisory projects including group restructuring, interest deductibility, capital allowances, and HMRC enquiries.
- Review corporation tax returns and supporting computations.
- Develop relationships with clients and identify opportunities for wider support.
Team Support & Development
- Provide guidance to junior staff and support their development through coaching and review.
- Contribute to knowledge sharing and team learning sessions.
- Assist with internal projects across the tax practice.
Commercial & Risk Management
- Manage workflow, budgets and deadlines across your client portfolio.
- Ensure quality, accuracy and adherence to risk management procedures.
- Help identify process improvements in client delivery.
Skills & Experience Required
- Newly qualified or finalists (ACA/CTA or equivalent).
- Strong corporate tax knowledge, with experience in compliance and early exposure to advisory work.
- Confident reviewing computations and interpreting financial statements.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical points clearly.
- Motivated, proactive and eager to develop both technically and commercially.
- Experience working with clients directly and managing multiple deadlines.
