Bank Guarantee Specialist
About the Job
My client, a global engineering company, is seeking an experienced Bank Guarantee Specialist to take ownership of the full bank guarantee process from application to settlement. In this role, you will manage complex, high‑volume guarantee workflows, engage with commercial, legal, and financial stakeholders, and ensure that all guarantees align with the organisation’s legal and financial interests.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the entire bank guarantee process, including assessment, drafting, amendment, and settlement
- Analyse guarantee terms and risks, providing guidance to internal stakeholders
- Monitor validity periods and ensure timely renewal or release of guarantees
- Maintain regular contact with banks, customers, and internal teams
- Ensure sufficient guarantee limits with financial institutions
- Manage the guarantee portfolio, including documentation, reporting, compliance, and management information
- Identify and recommend improvements in guarantee processes and documentation
- Deliver internal training and workshops on guarantee procedures
About You
- Experience with bank guarantees in a financial institution or large corporate
- Strong understanding of guarantee processes, guarantee terms, and legal/financial requirements
- Excellent communication skills in Dutch and English
- Detail‑oriented, structured, and able to juggle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
- Strong analytical and documentation capabilities
- Able to work independently while collaborating effectively across teams
