Tax Manager – Part-time Offered
Brewer Morris is exclusively working with a market leading business to search for a Tax Manager to join the tax function in Bristol.
As the Tax Manager, you play a pivotal role in the wider Finance team and lead on certain projects. A Tax Analyst will report to you and support on all tax matters. Some of your responsibilities include:
- Oversee the preparation of annual corporate tax returns and quarterly VAT returns
- Oversee the calculation and posting of monthly corporate tax accrual
- Review tax forecasts (including forecast of corporation tax payments) and budgets
- Challenge existing tax processes and promote continuous improvement
- Manage and mentor the Tax Analyst
- Liaise with external tax advisors and external auditors as required
- Providing implementable guidance and supporting internal stakeholders for key business projects and transformation activity
- Building relationships across Finance, HR, Legal, external advisors and tax authorities
- Keep up to date with tax legislation changes and ensure that processes are updated accordingly
To be considered, you should ideally be ACA, ACCA, and/or CTA qualified with in-house experience managing corporate tax compliance, reporting, and UK VAT. Excellent project management skills, and the ability to communicate and liaise with key stakeholders are essential.
Unfortunately, this role will not offer visa sponsorship and is only open to candidates in the UK.
In return, you will receive a salary of £78,000-£86,000 base, a 15% discretionary bonus, car allowance, and a host of benefits. The tax team follow a hybrid pattern of 2 days in the Bristol office. This position is open to part-time workers who are seeking a 4-day arrangement.
