Tax Manager
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance, or a related field
- 6+ years of relevant experience in corporate income tax with a focus on compliance
- Intermediate/advanced skills with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to juggle multiple projects and prioritize deadlines
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Tax or Business Administration
- Proficiency in Thomson Reuters OneSource Income Tax software

Essential Job Functions:
The job functions include a broad variety of tax matters including, but not limited to, the following:
- Manage the preparation and filing of federal, state, and local income returns for the company and other affiliated entities.
- Manage income tax provision compliance & financial statements audit to ensure accuracy and compliance with GAAP.
- Review state modification and apportionment schedules.
- Maintain tax basis depreciation records and intangible asset schedules.
- Prepare and review quarterly tax estimates and year-end projections.
- Analyze and reconcile various tax-related general ledger accounts: deferred tax balances, income tax expense, and Federal and state tax payable accounts.
- Manage Federal, state income & franchise tax audits.
- Manage state tax controversy matters, including notices and adjustments.
- Coordinate, prepare, and oversee annual reports filings.
- Research and maintain a working knowledge of state income/franchise tax developments.
- Maintain federal, state, and local tax calendar.
- Collaborate with other departments within the organization and provide assistance as needed.
- Manage relationships with external tax consultants and provide guidance on the implementation of various tax planning strategies.
