Senior Tax Associate
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with federal, state and local, & foreign income tax filings; quarterly estimates; and extensions as needed
- Conduct tax research, assess regulatory compliance, and manage projects as they arise
- Ability to meet monthly, quarterly and annual goals, targets, and deadlines
- Preparation and/or review state sales & use tax filings
- Demonstrate attention to detail and a capacity to manage shifting priorities
- Ability to prioritize and oversee multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Deliver effective communication with third parties on the Company’s behalf; and assist with audit processes with tax authorities
- Develop and implement process improvements in the Company’s tax procedures utilizing tax technology tools to simplify and automate complex processes
- Work closely with staff and managers of both the Tax and other key departments within the Company
- Must be comfortable dealing with issues and topics outside of their traditional tax training and running projects fully from start to finish
BASIC QUALIFICATION
- Bachelor’s Degree in related field
- Three or more years of relevant work experience
- Proficient in and/or working knowledge of Excel, RIA, Sage FAS, Alteryx, and tax research platforms
- Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, audit principles including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and internal control systems
- Experience with ASC 740
- Understanding of state and local reporting requirements

- CPA
- Big 4 experience
