In-house Trust & Estate Tax Assistant Manager

Overview

Join a growing Tax Compliance team that supports a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple jurisdictions. This role focuses on UK trust and estate tax compliance, inheritance tax, and related reporting obligations, while also providing exposure to wider corporate and international tax services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit UK Trust & Estate Tax Returns and Inheritance Tax forms (IHT100) to HMRC.
  • Manage Trust Registration Service (TRS) filings, annual declarations, and updates.
  • Handle capital gains reporting on UK property disposals.
  • Liaise with HMRC on penalties and queries.
  • Support additional tax services such as ATED, CIS, and offshore tax filings as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a tax compliance environment.
  • Familiarity with CCH or similar tax software (training provided if needed).
  • ATT, ACCA, ACA, or STEP qualification (part or fully qualified preferred).
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
