Are you a senior tax professional ready to lead and shape a specialist practice? A top-tier accountancy firm is seeking a Stamp Taxes Director to take strategic ownership of its growing team. The Role

As Director, you’ll take full responsibility for the Stamp Taxes practice, driving growth through internal collaboration and external networks. You’ll work closely with the Real Estate team and wider business, delivering complex assignments and enhancing technical capabilities across the firm.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the Stamp Taxes practice and setting its strategic direction.
  • Delivering high-quality advisory work across complex transactions.
  • Building relationships with HMRC and external stakeholders.
  • Structuring the team to support development and training.
  • Collaborating across departments to embed best practices.
  • Supporting business development and client engagement initiatives.

About You

You’re a commercially minded leader with deep expertise in Stamp Taxes and a strong understanding of the wider tax landscape-particularly in real estate. You’re confident managing senior stakeholders and passionate about developing high-performing teams.

Requirements:

  • Significant experience in Stamp Taxes from practice and/or industry.
  • ACA/ACCA and/or CTA qualified (or equivalent legal/tax expertise).
  • Strong awareness of related tax areas, especially in real estate.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills.
  • Excellent communicator with a collaborative mindset.
