I am working with a top accountancy firm looking to strengthen its London Audit team with an Assistant Manager. This role will be within their high-performing Real Estate and Construction team and following the firm’s sustained growth and ambitious plans for the future. They are a highly reputable, internationally recognised brand and partner with prestigious, listed clients across the property and infrastructure space. The audit engagements here are often complex and technically challenging, covering a diverse range of projects including commercial property portfolios, residential developments, and large-scale construction ventures.

Based near the centre of City of London, you’ll be joining global, highly-regarded brand that carries a strong national and international presence. The same foundations of audit quality and long-standing client trust will be the foundations from which to build your own career, and the firm are committed to developing talent internally and cross-functionally.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand assignment budgets and objectives to assist with planning and pre-assignment discussions
  • Take an active role in delegating work, training juniors, and reviewing outputs
  • Execute assignments to the expected high standard, demonstrating adaptability and solution-oriented thinking
  • Enhance client-facing responsibilities by advising, responding to queries, and liaising with senior management
  • Manage reporting and follow-up at the final stages of the audit process

Requirements:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP
  • Experience in a UK practice environment
  • Exposure to large, complex engagements
  • Previous experience auditing UK listed clients within real estate or construction
