Senior Group Accountant
Our client, a market-leading, global technology business is seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join their Group Finance Team in London.
This role will report into the Senior Financial Accountant, supporting the financial accounting and financial reporting for a complex and growing international business. A fast-paced role in a dynamic team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assist the preparation of statutory financial statements and monthly/quarterly consolidated financial schedules under IFRS.
- Prepare and post monthly journals and month end reconciliations for group holding companies.
- Liaisse with subsidiary financial reporting teams regarding intercompany transactions and monthly reconciliations of intercompany balances.
- Liaise with external auditors to support the annual audit.
- Prepare and record accounting adjustments (requires local GAAP translation to IFRS).
Key skills and experience:
- ACA/CA/CPA/ACCA qualified through a top tier accounting firm.
- 2+ years’ post qualification experience in a financial reporting environment.
- Good knowledge of IFRS and consolidation principles.
- Experience in monthly accounting close tasks and preparation of financial statements.
- Financial reporting and/or audit experience.
- Financial Accounting System/ERP experience (Workday preferable).
- Excellent communication skills, the ability to take initiative and a collaborative approach.
