About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a prestigious accountancy practice as a Financial Services Tax Specialist focusing on the insurance sector. You will play a key role in advising major insurance clients, including global insurers, brokers, and reinsurers, on complex tax matters.

Your expertise will help clients navigate evolving regulatory landscapes, optimize tax efficiency, and ensure compliance with industry-specific tax requirements. The role provides excellent exposure to senior stakeholders, complex advisory projects, and career progression in a dynamic and growing team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide corporate tax advisory and compliance services to leading insurance firms, including Lloyd’s market participants.
  • Advise on insurance-specific tax matters, including Solvency II, BEPS regulations, IFRS 17 tax implications, and reinsurance tax considerations.
  • Support clients with transfer pricing policies, structuring insurance entities, and cross-border tax issues.
  • Lead and manage tax compliance reviews, ensuring adherence to UK and international tax regulations.
  • Collaborate with actuarial, finance, and legal teams to align tax strategies with broader business objectives.
  • Engage in business development, building strong client relationships and identifying opportunities for growth.
  • Stay updated on changing tax laws and regulatory developments impacting the insurance sector.

Requirements

  • Experience in financial services tax, ideally with a focus on insurance.
  • ACA, CTA, or equivalent qualification preferred.
  • Strong understanding of UK corporate tax legislation and financial services taxation.
  • Ability to manage multiple clients and projects in a dynamic advisory environment.
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting complex tax matters to stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
