A London based Media business are looking to hire a Finance Manager to join their team. The business over recent years has had a change of ownership and it’s taking the company to even greater lengths, further expanding their product offering.

This is a newly created role and will be pivotal for the Finance team, leading on all aspects of financial reporting, advising on the strategic direction of the business whilst managing and mentoring one direct report.

Based in the heart of London on a hybrid basis, with brilliant benefits to offer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor one direct report, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented environment.
  • Work closely with senior stakeholders and other departments to drive financial performance and strategic initiatives
  • Liaise with our parent company to ensure seamless financial integration and reporting.
  • Oversee monthly financial reporting, ensuring strict adherence to IFRS standards.
  • Manage the annual audit process working closely with external auditors
  • Develop and produce budgets, financial models, and comprehensive 5-year long-term plans.
  • Provide insightful management accounts with detailed commentary to support decision-making.
  • Partner with the FP&A team to enhance financial planning and analysis processes.
  • Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure financial stability and operational efficiency.
  • Continuously improve internal systems to optimise financial operations and reporting.

What we are looking for:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
  • Proven experience in financial management, preferably within the media or related industry.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in building financial models and full end-to-end budgets
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong proficiency in Excel and Workday (ideal)
