Financial Reporting Manager
JOB OVERVIEW:
We are looking for very motivated and detail-oriented Manager of Financial Reporting to join the financial reporting team for an industry leading luxury aerospace/aviation client. This role is responsible for the preparation of the monthly consolidated financials, reporting packages, US GAAP financial statements, handling of intercompany reconciliations, chairman reports, reporting system administration/maintenance, and supporting the monthly and year-end close activities to ensure timely reporting.
RESPONSIBILTIES:
- Prepare monthly consolidated financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Assist with semi-annual reporting and annual standalone consolidated financial statements
- Administer Longview reporting system, including maintenance and setup of system-generated reports
- Support month-end and year-end close processes for timely reporting
- Prepare monthly chairman’s report and executive summaries
- Act as point of contact for external auditors
- Prepare corporate accounting journal entries and intercompany transactions
- Conduct technical accounting research and documentation
- Lead ASC842 lease accounting and perform variance analysis
- Ensure key controls related to financial reporting
EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION:
- 6-12 years of financial reporting experience and prior public accounting experience (Big 4 or Tier 2)
- Experience with SAP or large ERP systems and proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines
- Plus if have experience in aviation/aerospace industry (other highly considered industries include, manufacturing, distribution, transportation
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA certification is required
