Senior Finance Manager (m/w/d)
JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Finance Manager that we are searching for will report directly to the Senior Finance Director and will be responsible for the Hamburg site leadership within the company. Whilst building strong relationships with local and international teams, the successful candidate will focus on the continuous improvement of the Finance function.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Accounting: Manage AR, AP, FA, GL, monthly closing, and monthly financial reporting for single entity.
- FP&A: Manage financial plans, budgeting, forecasting, performance analysis and management reporting.
- Cash management: Manage cash flow and projection.
- Tax management: Manage tax compliance and tax return filing, including CIT, sales tax, vat, etc and transfer pricing.
- Internal control: Manage enforcement of company financial and accounting policies, approval matrix compliance. Support and coordinate internal audit and external audits.
- Statutory compliance: Manage compliance of local country company incorporation law and regulations requirements.
- Perform ad hoc projects as required.

EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration, MBA is a plus.
- Working experience: 10+ years working experience and 5+ years in country finance management role. Big four accounting firms experience is a plus.
- Language proficiency: Fluent in English and German.
- Professional certificate: Certified Public Accountant or Certified Financial Analyst are preferred.
- Familiar with IFRS and local accounting GAAP (HGB).
- Financial system experience: Experience with Oracle and SAP is a plus.
- Be able to be hands-on as well as manage a small team (2 staffs in Hamburg)
- Others: strong communication and problem-solving leadership skills, passion with life science business, role modeling of financial professionalism.
