A prestigious Real Estate group are looking for their next Group Financial Controller. The business has been through a huge transformation, investing in new systems and policies and are on an exciting growth trajectory to double in size over the next few years. This role will suit a proactive and ambitious leader, managing a team of six. This is a pivotal role within the business with visibility across all teams and the CEO and CFO.

It is important the successful individual is in the office full time, wants to be part of a growing organisation that gives you accountability and progression opportunities.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Produce both annual and interim reports.
  • Ensure the group’s annual reports are accurate and adheres to all local accounting policies.
  • Manage a team of six, supporting their development.
  • Manage the day-today accounting operations.
  • Responsible for the global monthly reporting process and prepare board packs to present to the board.
  • Key contact for auditors and subject matter expert for IFRS and technical accounting queries
  • Ownership of the financial control function, including system implementations, finance transformation and improving controls
  • Business Partner with the FP&A team to support budget processes.

Key skills and experience required:

  • Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA or equivalent).
  • Audit background essential with PQE in industry.
  • Real Estate background desirable
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS
  • Extensive experience of group consolidation and reporting
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (Yardi) preferred.
