Financial Controller
Responsibilities
- Prepares monthly financial statements in compliance with GAAP in a timely manner.
- Responsible for training, evaluating, and supervising overall financial accounting, accounts payable, inventory control, payroll and warehouse/receiving functions.
- Establishes policies and procedures for the financial accounting department.
- Responsible for working with the independent accounting firm for quarterly and annual audits.
- Prepares parent company reporting package.
- Develops and presents financial training classes to non-financial managers.
- Responsible for the overall control and supervision of the property’s Financial Accounting department.
- Ensures that the financial records are accurate and maintained up to date.
- Reviews all monthly and weekly P & L estimates.
- Reviews all quarterly income tax payments.
- Responsible for preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for the property and proper distribution thereof.
- Coordinates monthly financial analysis.
- Responsible for all capital expenditure approval, cost tracking and reporting.
- Ensures that construction reporting meets accounting management needs and items are properly accounted for.
- Interacts with Information Technology to ensure that financial systems provide information in an efficient manner.
