Job Summary:
The Accounting Manager is responsible for various financial activities and providing support to the CFO. Responsible for a small accounting staff. Requirements include working closely with accounting and operations to improve accounting processes/procedures and identify opportunities for efficiency and cost reductions.

Essential Functions:

  • Oversees the daily accounting activities required to maintain the Company’s general ledger.
  • Supervises, directs, and reviews the work of the accounting staff (including, but not limited to, cash reconciliations, intercompany statement reconciliations, check runs, accounts receivable transactions, fixed asset activity, payroll, accounts payable transactions, sales tax, debt activity, recording of revenue and expenses, etc.)
  • Supports and assists with monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting;
  • Supports annual audits;
  • Reviews general ledger on a monthly basis to ensure accuracy of posting;
  • Prepares financial, fiscal and other ad hoc financial reports;
  • Monitor and implement internal controls;
  • Performs other duties as assigned or required

Key Competencies:

  • Strong computer knowledge of Microsoft Office products, V-lookup and Pivot tables;
  • Experience in an ERP system environment with specific knowledge of operations systems;
  • Self-starter with strong analytical and communication skills;
  • Strong understanding of US GAAP

Education and Experience

  • Three years or more of accounting experience in manufacturing industry;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited university required;
  • CMA and/or CPA a major plus;
  • Knowledge of integrated ERP systems.
