Position Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Tax Associate / Senior Associate to join this growing team. The ideal candidate will have approximately 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in tax law, with a strong background in advising clients on a wide range of domestic and international tax matters.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide expert advice and guidance to clients on various tax issues, including corporate tax, VAT, employment taxes, and international tax planning.
  • Conduct thorough research and analysis of complex tax issues and legislation.
  • Assist in the structuring and implementation of tax-efficient solutions for corporate transactions, mergers, and acquisitions.
  • Prepare and review tax documents, including tax opinions, memoranda, and transactional documents.
  • Collaborate closely with other practice areas within the firm to deliver comprehensive legal solutions to clients.
  • Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations, and provide strategic advice to clients accordingly.
  • Represent clients in tax disputes and negotiations with tax authorities, where necessary.

Requirements:

  • Approximately 4 years of post-qualification experience (PQE) in tax law, preferably gained at a reputable law firm or accounting firm.
  • Qualified solicitor or barrister in England and Wales.
  • Strong knowledge of UK tax legislation and regulations, as well as an understanding of international tax principles.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • A proactive and client-focused approach, with a commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Team player with the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels.
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to provide practical and commercially viable solutions to clients.
