The session delved into the challenges and triumphs that women encounter as they navigate through male-dominated industries and companies. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We explored the barriers hindering women from expressing their voices, the pivotal role organisations can play in fostering empowerment and practical strategies for women to overcome obstacles and confidently assert themselves. Areas that we covered included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Listening is just as important as speaking up<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Speaking up is important for managing risk. Companies with a strong speak up culture are 50% less likely to experience misconduct<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The main reasons why women find it difficult to speak up is down to the stereotypes in our culture as well as the fact that speaking up is a vulnerable position to be in and many feel that speaking up puts them in a risky position<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Knowledge is power.
