Our client is currently seeking a skilled and experienced VAT Partner to join their dynamic tax advisory team. Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and manage the VAT practice, ensuring the team delivers high-quality services to clients in a timely and efficient manner.
  2. Develop and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and providing expert guidance on VAT-related matters.
  3. Identify and pursue business development opportunities, including cross-selling services to existing clients and actively seeking new clients.
  4. Stay up-to-date with changes in VAT legislation and regulations, providing technical advice and guidance to clients and colleagues.
  5. Prepare and review VAT returns, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and recommending strategies for efficient and effective tax planning.
  6. Collaborate with other teams within the firm, such as the corporate tax team and transfer pricing team, to provide clients with comprehensive tax advice and solutions.
  7. Mentor and develop junior members of theteam, providing guidance and support to help them reach their full potential.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified tax professional with extensive experience in VAT advisory and compliance services.
  2. Strong technical knowledge of VAT legislation and regulations, with the ability to interpret complex tax laws and provide practical solutions to clients.
  3. Proven track record in business development, with the ability to identify and capitalize on opportunities to expand the firm’s client base.
  4. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey complex tax matters to clients and colleagues.
  5. Exceptional leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of tax professionals.
  6. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  7. Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
  8. Excellent client relationship management skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong partnerships with clients.
  9. Full proficiency in relevant tax software and technology.
