VAT Manager – Glasgow or Edinburgh

Our client is a well known global professional services firm and the VAT team currently has open roles at the Manager level in both the Glasgow and Edinburgh offices.

The roles require someone who is CTA or ACA qualified (or equivalent) and has demonstrable VAT experience from either in house or in the profession. Ideally you will also have experience of working on complex projects and reviewing the work of more junior staff.

The role is predominantly advisory, (there is very little to zero compliance work), working closely with the Directors and Partners on a broad portfolio of clients on day to day matters as well as special assignments on an ad hoc basis. The successful candidate will be a key point of contact for clients and stakeholders across the business.

This is a role for someone who is ambitious, enjoys the technical challenge of working in tax and is comfortable in a client facing and internal networking role. It will suit someone looking to take on more responsibility and is looking to move to Associate Director level and beyond.
