VAT Assistant Manager

This position will provide VAT Compliance and advisory services for a wide range of FTSE100 FTSE250, AIM and private equity backed and privately owned businesses therefore to be eligible for this position, you will need UK VAT experience.
I am looking for a professional who is pro-active and confident with managing their own calendar along with collaborating with others and communicating wit senior managers, directors and partners on a day o day basis. You will be encouraged to identify and draw attention to opportunities for enhancing delivery and providing additional services to our clients.
For this role your primary responsibility will be to manage all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of existing clients and assigning with the development of targets in order to ensure the continued growth of the business. Within this role your will also be providing assistance to senior members of staff in both client work and the management of the group and on occasions the practice.
Other Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
* Providing Tax Compliance and advisory services to a wide range of clients
* Managing a portfolio of client including control billings, and identification of opportunities to improve recoveries together with tax collection.
* Developing professional relationships with clients and within the firm adapting the approach for the relevant audience.
In order to be eligible for this position you will be required to have an in depth knowledge of taxation with specialist VAT knowledge and the ability to deal with complex tax issues.
For this role education up to degree level and/or CTA and/or ACA Qualified is desired.
You will also show the ability to manage a substantial client portfolio profitably whilst being able to actively seek opportunities for developing new clients and for selling new services to existing clients.
