Our client is a London based law firm with a true international reach. Their private client group provides legal advice to wealthy individuals, trustees and to other institutions and firms for themselves and for their private clients.
They have a market leading trust and tax compliance team with Partners that work across the private client sector. The team looks after a range of trusts for wealthy families and entrepreneurs. The team has grown organically over recent years and provides personal tax advisory services to the private client group, many of which are non-doms.
The role is a permanent manager level role looking after a mixed portfolio of trust, personal tax and other more general more project work on IHT reporting, non-resident CGT, taxation of deceased estates, HMRC enquiry work and statutory remittance issues.
This is a hands on role working directly for Partners within the Group and also working closely with clients to get necessary information. There will be some preparation of trust accounts and you will need to technical capability and client care experience to take responsibility for your own case load, but with excellent partner support.
Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- Managing trust accounts
- Regula ad hoc project work
- Providing written advice in relation to trusts under management
- IHT Return preparation
The ideal candidate will be / have
A qualified accountant (AAT/ACA/ACCA) with experience of trust and personal tax compliance
Trained in trust and personal tax
Thorough knowledge of trust accounting and a strong attention to detail and technical ability
