Day to Day Responsibilituies include

  • Management of a portfolio of clients with particular focus on:
  • Delivering complex Trust and Estate Planning Advice.
  • Advising both UK and international clients of a high calibre on their global Trust and Estate Planning.
  • Consolidating offshore Trust Structures and liaising with Trustees to deliver tax efficient planning, mindful of HMRC challenge.
  • Responsibility to build a new team within a dynamic and fast-growing Partnership.
  • Taking responsibility for those more junior to you within the team to ensure that they are exposed to a variety of work and progress their own knowledge.
  • Putting clients at ease and manage generation tax planning for complex and cross border family structures.
  • Pro-actively looking for opportunities to save tax on behalf of your clients
  • Pro-actively looking for pitfalls to ensure that clients do not have unexpected liabilities or problems.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients as well as taking on and embedding new clients.
  • Manage WIP and billing for your portfolio

Qualifications, Experience & Skills required

  • CTA, but QBE also considered
  • Substantial experience in all areas noted under day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Structuring and basic Will writing would be an advantage.
  • Experience managing a portfolio of personal tax compliance.
  • Experience in training and managing juniors.
  • Evidence of adding value to a portfolio of clients.
  • Strong and broad tax technical knowledge
  • Excellent people skills to maintain client and staff relations
  • Attention to detail
  • Positive and pro-active approach with clients and colleagues
  • Confidence to act independently
  • Full working knowledge of CCH useful
