Treasury Analyst
This role requires an experienced Treasury professional with exceptional attention to detail, comfortable with completing tasks on time and navigating multiple systems. You will have a strong understanding of bank reconciliation, the control environment we operate in, and the finance functions impacted by Treasury processes. Working closely with the Treasury Manager, you will support process improvements and projects, making good communication and collaboration skills essential, along with the ability to multi-task daily with agility. You will contribute to our positive, open team culture and be comfortable working at pace and to deadlines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform daily bank statement uploads and support accurate reconciliation of all bank transactions.
- Complete and distribute daily, weekly, and monthly reports on time.
- Responsible for month-end reconciliation of bank statements, bank GLs, unallocated cash, and miscellaneous postings.
- Post monthly journals for internal and external loan movements and interest.
- Maintain Treasury bank Standard Settlement Instructions (SSIs).
- Analyze direct debits and review bank charges.
- Manage e-banking system administration.
- Identify, lead, or support process improvements and projects that deliver cost savings and automation, as approved by the Treasury Manager.
- Support the implementation and monitoring of company policies and controls.
- Maintain up-to-date process notes.
- Update bank mandates and maintain them every six months.
- Support internal and external ongoing audit queries.
Knowledge and Experience:
- Proven experience in initiating and implementing process changes or small/medium-sized projects.
- Fundamental understanding of finance functions such as Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable.
- Intermediate MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
- Knowledge of SAP Business ByDesign or Salesforce.
- Experience working in large multi-site organizations or the property sector.
Education and Qualifications:
- Educated to at least A-level or equivalent.
- Completion of or studying towards a Certificate in Treasury Fundamentals or ACCA/AAT equivalent.
Technical Skills:
- Proficient in using multiple systems, including e-banking, Treasury Management Systems, and finance systems.
- Able to resolve issues promptly and proactively request support when needed.
