Treasury Accountant
Our client is a leading multi-national fashion retailer, which originated in Europe. As part of their expansion plans, they are looking to hire a Treasury Accountant which can be based in either one of their office in the Netherlands, Belgium or Germany.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver high quality accounting support for monthly, quarterly and year-end closing in line with IFRS and local GAAP
- Manage regular reporting on the Treasury function’s entities and activities, including monthly reporting and preparation of Treasury specific notes in annual and quarterly reports
- Act as the system administrator for the treasury management system, e-banking applications and other treasury systems
- Ensure compliance with relevant controls and apply IFRS Treasury standards, including adjustment of processes and implementation into SAP
- Identify improvements for the Treasury accounting process, implement the improvements into the Treasury IT environment, and drive projects for standardization and automation of processes
- Act as a sparring partner for Treasury accounting advice including Hedge accounting and documentation
- Be the vocal point for both internal and external auditors on Treasury specific accounting challenges.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’ or Master’ degree in the field of Accounting, Business and Economics, or equivalent
- Finance professional with at least 5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably including performing valuations of financials derivatives
- Experience with Treasury Processes and Treasury Systems, including inhouse banking and payment factories
- Strong accounting/ IFRA knowledge in treasury including hedge accounting
- Strong communication, negotiation and networking skills
- Fluent in English
- Good analytical capabilities and IT literate
