Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement transfer pricing policies: Design and implement transfer pricing policies and methodologies to ensure compliance with international tax regulations and optimize tax efficiency.
  • Transfer pricing documentation: Prepare and review transfer pricing documentation, including benchmarking studies, functional analysis, and intercompany agreements, to support the transfer pricing positions of the organization (including preparation of Master and Local Files).
  • Incorporate transfer pricing calculations into financial forecasts to provide accurate and reliable information for calculating tax and providing information for decision-making.
  • Monitor entity profit levels by conducting bifurcated income statement analysis and recommending transfer pricing changes when necessary.
  • Assist local controllers and local tax consultants in the foreign tax audit defense related to transfer pricing issues, and actively participate in transfer pricing Advance Pricing Agreements (APAs).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional groups within the company to understand the tax impact of business operations and ensure that tax needs are identified, considered, and effectively communicated.
  • Develop and maintain audit exposure analysis along with unrecognized tax benefit accounts related to transfer pricing, ensuring accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Review Country-by-Country Reporting (CBCR) forms to ensure compliance with reporting requirements.
  • Support M&A integration efforts and optimize Intellectual Property (IP) strategies may include performing a valuation of IP or businesses.
  • Support other tax-related projects as needed, including provision and compliance activities.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Accounting, Tax, or Finance. Master’s degree (MST) in economics or taxation is strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of tax experience with a Big 4 firm and/or in-house tax department, with a focus on transfer pricing and/or international taxation.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to effectively manage multiple projects and competing priorities simultaneously.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a willingness to work in a team environment and contribute to the success of the overall team goals.
  • Strong knowledge of OECD Base Erosion and Profit Shifting (BEPS) guidelines and other theoretical transfer pricing concepts.
  • Expertise in international tax and ASC 740 accounting for income tax would be extremely beneficial.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, array formulas, and other relevant functions.
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills to accurately analyze and interpret complex financial and tax data.
