As a Transaction Tax Manager or Senior Manager, you will play a pivotal role in advising and assisting clients on complex transaction tax matters. Your expertise will be crucial in providing innovative and strategic tax solutions that optimise their business transactions while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage transaction tax engagements, including due diligence, structuring, and post-transaction integration for a diverse portfolio of clients.
  • Provide expert guidance and recommendations on transaction tax implications, identifying risks and opportunities to achieve optimal outcomes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver comprehensive tax advice and support to clients across various industries.
  • Stay up-to-date with tax legislation and market trends, sharing your knowledge and insights to enhance the firm’s service offerings.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor and fostering long-term partnerships.

Requirements:

  • Professional qualifications (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) preferred with demonstrable post qualification experience in corporate tax
  • Extensive experience in corporate tax within a professional services firm, with some on M&A transactions and restructuring.
  • In-depth knowledge of UK tax regulations, policies, and international tax principles.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering complex transaction tax projects, exceeding client expectations.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative tax solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
