Tax Senior Manager – Renewable Energy

This is a rapidly expanding group in the sustainable renewable energy sector, leading the way in innovation. We are seeking a strong tax professional to take charge of compliance and reporting. The successful candidate will also support the broader group with tax efficiency and planning initiatives. This role currently supervises one direct report.

Key Responsibilities:

• Managing group compliance and reporting
• Preparing in-house corporate tax computations and returns
• Coordinating with finance and international advisers to ensure compliance with global tax obligations
• Completing quarterly and year-end tax reporting packs under IFRS and related deliverables
• Preparing tax disclosures for statutory accounting purposes
• Enhancing internal processes and controls
• Overseeing transfer pricing obligations, compliance, and documentation for the group
• Handling tax inquiries and audits, maintaining professional interactions with tax authorities
• Identifying tax compliance obligations and potential risks, implementing appropriate responses and risk mitigation strategies
• Working with legal and finance teams on specific projects, including financing, cash repatriation, acquisitions, and disposals
• Providing clear, practical, and business-focused tax advice
• Supporting the technical development of junior team members and the broader tax team
• Some occasional travel to other offices (Europe, UK) for meetings with key management

About you:

• Professional tax qualification / accounting qualification
• Must be fluent in Norwegian language
• Track record managing tax reporting and compliance process, in house
• Experience in people management
• European tax experience
• Knowledge of wider tax specialisms, eg tax planning, transfer pricing, indirect tax
• A self starter and hands-on approach
