Senior – Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting (Global Professional Services Firm)

Location: UK (Hybrid)

We’re supporting a leading global professional services organisation as they continue to expand their Direct Tax Compliance team. This team plays a key role in delivering multi-country tax reporting and compliance services for large, complex clients across a range of industries.

The Opportunity

As a Senior within the Direct Tax Compliance & Reporting, you’ll support global engagements covering tax accounting, group reporting and direct tax compliance under US GAAP and IFRS. The role is highly collaborative, working closely with multinational tax and finance teams while helping to enhance processes, controls, and reporting efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Tax Accounting & Reporting

  • Prepare and review interim, quarterly, and year‑end global tax provisions.
  • Support tax reporting packages from local controllers and tax managers.
  • Assist in preparing IFRS and US GAAP disclosures and reconciling GAAP differences.
  • Maintain tax provision documentation and support SOX and internal controls.

Process & Compliance Improvements

  • Identify opportunities to streamline, standardise, and enhance tax processes.
  • Prepare tax account reconciliations and associated schedules.
  • Contribute to operational improvements across the global tax reporting lifecycle.

Collaboration & People Development

  • Support junior team members with coaching on ASC 740, IAS 12 and core tax concepts.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external service providers across multiple jurisdictions.

Skills & Experience Required

  • 3+ years’ experience in corporate tax or direct tax accounting.
  • Strong understanding of ASC 740, IAS 12 and deferred tax concepts.
  • Experience in tax accounting, reporting, or compliance within practice or industry.
  • Strong Excel and tax technology skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines, explain complex topics clearly, and work across international teams.
  • Proven ability to support junior colleagues and contribute to process improvement.
