As an International Tax Partner, you will play a pivotal role in the firm’s continued growth and success.

Our client is seeking an experienced and dynamic International Tax Partner to join their team in London. As a key member of their tax department, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and solutions to our diverse client base, helping them navigate complex international tax matters and optimize their global tax strategies. Your deep understanding of international tax regulations, combined with your exceptional business acumen, will be essential in delivering tailored advice and building strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:

Client Advisory:

  • Provide strategic international tax advice to clients, addressing their unique challenges and opportunities in a proactive and insightful manner.
  • Assist clients in developing and implementing effective global tax strategies, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and maximizing tax efficiencies.
  • Conduct thorough tax research and analysis to support client engagements, staying updated on international tax developments and changes in legislation.

Business Development:

  • Play a pivotal role in business development activities, including identifying and pursuing new client opportunities, nurturing existing client relationships, and expanding the firm’s international tax practice.
  • Collaborate with other partners and professionals within the firm to cross-sell services, leveraging the firm’s full range of capabilities to meet client needs.
  • Represent Kreston Reeves at industry events, conferences, and networking forums to enhance the firm’s visibility and establish yourself as a thought leader in the field of international taxation.

Team Leadership:

  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior tax professionals, fostering their development and helping them grow into well-rounded tax advisors.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across departments to ensure seamless service delivery and a coordinated approach to client engagements.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and developments, and share knowledge and insights with the tax team and other relevant stakeholders.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Oversee the compliance process for international tax matters, ensuring accurate and timely submission of all required filings.
  • Mitigate risks associated with international tax engagements, ensuring adherence to professional standards, ethical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
  • Review and approve complex tax calculations and returns, providing guidance and oversight to ensure accuracy and quality.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • A qualified tax professional (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CTA) with significant experience in international tax advisory services, gained within a reputable accounting firm or multinational corporation.
  • Proven expertise in international tax planning, transfer pricing, cross-border transactions, and managing the tax implications of international expansion.
  • Excellent knowledge of international tax regulations, including OECD guidelines and relevant tax treaties.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to understand clients’ unique challenges and objectives, translating them into actionable tax strategies.
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to think strategically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities, including the capability to mentor and develop junior team members.
  • Track record of successfully identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, contributing to the growth of a tax practice.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to delivering exceptional client service.
