I am currently supporting an international automotive group in the search for a Mandarin-speaking Tax Manager to join their growing tax team in Amsterdam.

This is an exciting opportunity for a tax professional with European tax experience and fluent Mandarin skills to join a rapidly expanding international organisation operating at the intersection of the European and Chinese markets.

Reporting into the European tax team, you will act as a key link between European and Chinese stakeholders, supporting tax operations across multiple European jurisdictions. You will work closely with local finance teams, drive cross-border collaboration, and contribute to a range of tax, compliance, and transformation projects in a highly international environment.

The role offers broad exposure across corporate tax, indirect tax, tax technology, and finance transformation initiatives, including SAP implementations and e-invoicing projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the primary liaison between European finance teams and Chinese-speaking stakeholders, facilitating effective communication on tax and finance matters.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for local finance teams across multiple European jurisdictions.
  • Provide guidance on European tax matters, primarily within corporate tax, with exposure to indirect tax and VAT considerations.
  • Support tax audits, information requests, and interactions with external advisors and tax authorities.
  • Contribute to SAP implementation and e-invoicing projects across European entities.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure tax considerations are embedded within business operations and commercial activities.
  • Support the continued growth and development of the European tax function.

About You

  • 4-5 years of tax experience gained within a European environment.
  • Fluent in both Mandarin and English.
  • Strong understanding of European tax regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Background in corporate tax preferred; exposure to indirect tax/VAT is an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to operate across different cultures and regions.
  • Based in, or willing to relocate to, Amsterdam.
