A leading professional services firm with a strong reputation in tax advisory is seeking a talented individual to join their Tax Disputes and Resolutions team. This team is known for its deep expertise in handling complex matters with HMRC on behalf of a diverse client base, including private individuals, businesses, charities, and trusts. The Role

This is a fantastic opportunity for a tax professional to play a key role in managing HMRC disputes and investigations. You’ll work closely with senior stakeholders and clients, taking ownership of cases from start to finish, and contributing to strategic marketing initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a portfolio of tax dispute and resolution cases from engagement to finalisation.
  • Prepare HMRC disclosures, technical reports, and tax computations.
  • Liaise directly with clients, HMRC, and third parties throughout the investigation process.
  • Support Partners and Directors with technical analysis and strategic advice.
  • Contribute to internal and external marketing campaigns.
  • Monitor work in progress, draft invoices, and resolve client queries.

Candidate Profile

  • ATT/CTA qualified (or overseas equivalent), or possess relevant experience in tax disputes.
  • Strong experience in HMRC enquiries, investigations, and voluntary disclosures.
  • Excellent communication and client-facing skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Creative thinker with a keen eye for identifying tax opportunities and risks.
