We have recently been mandated on an exciting position within a fast-growing insurance broking business.
Due to the growth of the business and the increasing complexity of Tax, the company is looking to make their first Tax hire in the UK and with the use of the Finance team and the advisers, this person would be responsible for all areas of tax with the main objective of building a tax function fit for purpose.
With regards to compliance, this is outsourced but it would be up to this individual to perform the review process. Aside from this, there will certainly be scope to get involved in general tax advisory work, acquisitions, due diligence, integrating businesses, risk management, international tax issues and wider projects.
In terms of background, it is not a prerequisite coming from Insurance or even Financial Services – it is more about the skillset and the willingness to be hands-on.
The Finance team is based in London and predominantly they work from home with the view you only have to go into the office when necessary.
