Tax Manager
Role Overview:
This position plays a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization’s tax strategy across the Americas. The Tax Manager will oversee a wide range of corporate tax functions, including income tax reporting for a consolidated group with over $8B in revenue and significant cross-border transactions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review federal and state corporate income tax returns prepared by internal tax staff, ensuring accuracy and identifying tax planning opportunities.
- Recommend improvements to tax return processes and workflows.
- Assist in preparing complex federal and state corporate tax filings.
- Collaborate with finance teams across the U.S. to gather financial data for tax calculations.
- Conduct tax research and provide consultation on various tax matters using tax software (e.g., OneSource).
- Oversee the preparation and filing of quarterly estimated tax payments and extensions.
- Prepare and review documentation related to mergers, acquisitions, and reorganizations.
- Supervise and mentor junior tax professionals, supporting their development and performance.
- Ensure timely and accurate filing of FBAR, 1042, 1099, and 1120F forms.
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 6-10 years of corporate tax experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s in Accounting or Taxation preferred.
- CPA or MST certification strongly preferred.
- Experience with OneSource Income Tax software is a plus.
- Strong proficiency in Excel and other tax technologies.
- Demonstrated leadership and supervisory experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Prior experience at a Big 4 accounting firm is highly desirable.
- Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
