Our client is a well-established CPA firm offering a wide range of tax, audit, and consulting services to individuals, businesses, and nonprofit organizations. With a commitment to providing high-quality service and fostering professional growth, we are seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join our growing team.

As a Tax Manager, you will play a critical role in leading the firm’s tax practice, providing tax advisory and compliance services to a diverse client base. This role requires advanced technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of federal, state, and local tax laws. The Tax Manager will oversee client relationships, manage multiple engagements, and supervise staff while working closely with partners to develop tax strategies and solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the preparation of complex tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, estates, and nonprofit organizations.
  • Review tax returns prepared by staff and senior staff members, ensuring accuracy and compliance with tax laws.
  • Provide proactive tax planning and advice to clients on a variety of tax-related matters, including business structuring, mergers and acquisitions, and succession planning.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clients, fostering strong, trusted relationships.
  • Supervise, train, and mentor junior staff and seniors, providing guidance on technical issues and career development.
  • Stay up to date on federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as industry trends, to provide timely and accurate advice to clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s in Taxation or JD preferred).
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in tax, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • CPA license required (Active status).
