You will oversee tax compliance, new business projects, monitor new tax legislation, implement tax efficiencies for the group, with an initial focus on UAE Corporate Tax and OECD Pillar 2. The role will involve working closely with overseas finance and tax teams across multiple jurisdictions and provide support on global M&A transactions.


  • Manage the MENA tax control framework and day-to-day tax affairs, including the group’s tax compliance, providing strategic direction, technical guidance, and acting proactively as the Business Partner for the MENA Region and global businesses.
  • Lead the implementation of the UAE Corporate Tax and OECD Pillar 2
  • Design and implement Transfer Pricing optimisations and the Groups tax control framework
  • Preparation of worldwide transfer pricing documentation, including master file, local files, and country by country reporting
  • ·Develop, implement and maintain procedures to ensure that appropriate controls and measures are in place to ensure compliance with tax filing and reporting obligations.
  • ·Provide advice and support on all tax related matters to the overall worldwide Group

This role offers hybrid or fully remote working and applications will only be considered from experienced tax professionals currently based / or with recent experience of the Middle East tax market.

The Person:

  • Fully Qualified Accountant (ACA, CPA or CTA) with previous experience within a big four accountancy firm
  • Minimum 15-year post qualification experience working in taxation in an international environment including in the Middle East, with a proven track record of working in a complex, global business with delivery of business focused tax solutions
  • Technically up to date and aware of legislative changes with good working knowledge across the tax aspects and M&A transactions
  • The ability to articulate a strategy for tax across the MENA Region and understand the longer-term implications of the changing dynamics of the Middle East tax market.
  • The ability to create a high performing, inclusive, and collaborative approach to tax matters that embraces and champions innovation.
  • The ability to adapt style and approach to a variety of different stakeholders and situations, establish credentials and authority with the management team, and develop a strong working relationship with global finance, tax and commercial teams.
