Tax Director
Our client a leading wealth management company, is seeking a highly experienced and knowledgeable individual to join their team as a Personal Tax Director in their Liverpool or London office. As the Personal Tax Director, you will play a crucial role in providing expert tax advice and guidance to high-net-worth clients, ensuring compliance with relevant tax regulations while maximizing tax efficiency.their
Responsibilities:
- Client Advisory: Act as a trusted advisor to high-net-worth individuals, families, and their associated entities, providing comprehensive tax planning and compliance services.
- Tax Strategy: Develop and implement tax strategies to optimize clients’ tax positions, taking into consideration their financial objectives and risk tolerance.
- Tax Compliance: Oversee the preparation and review of complex personal tax returns, ensuring accuracy and adherence to relevant tax laws and regulations.
- Wealth Planning: Collaborate with other professionals within the firm, such as financial planners and investment managers, to develop integrated wealth planning solutions that align with clients’ tax objectives.
- Research and Analysis: Stay up-to-date with the latest tax legislation and industry trends, conducting research and analysis to provide proactive advice to clients and identify tax-saving opportunities.
- Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, cultivating long-term partnerships based on trust, integrity, and excellent service delivery.
- Team Leadership: Provide leadership and mentorship to the personal tax team, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture while ensuring effective workflow management and resource allocation.
- Networking and Business Development: Actively participate in business development activities, attending industry events, and representing Rathbones to expand the client base and generate new business opportunities.
Qualifications:
- Professional Qualifications: Possess a recognized tax or accounting qualification such as ACA, ACCA, CTA, or equivalent.
- Extensive Experience: Demonstrate a strong track record of at least 10 years in personal tax planning and compliance, preferably within a wealth management or professional services firm.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UK tax legislation, including income tax, capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and trusts. Familiarity with international tax issues and non-domiciled individuals is desirable.
