This is a fast paced technology business with global reach and revenues over $2.5 billion. Following a period of sustained growth there is a need for an EMEA tax Director to join the group tax team, to help develop and guide group tax strategy.

In this newly created role the EMEA Tax Director provides strategic advice across the region, partnering with business leaders, finance, legal, and external advisors to ensure tax compliance. You will also drive cash tax reduction through implementation of effective, practical tax strategies. This role is suited to someone commercially minded and ambitious who is keen to make a genuine impact. You will also have responsibility for one direct report in the group tax team.

About the role;

  • Responsible for all tax matters throughout the EMEA region, ensuring tax compliance, identifying and implementing strategic cash tax and effective tax rate reduction
  • Provide strategic advice across the region, partnering with regional business leaders, finance, legal, and external advisors in driving cash tax reduction through implementation of effective tax strategies
  • Work with global tax team and wider finance to minimize cash tax and reduce the effective tax, while managing risk and minimizing tax spend
  • Oversee tax compliance, managing outside service providers and working with EMEA controllers to ensure all tax filings accurate and timely
  • Manage tax audits working with country controllers and regional CFO's
  • Assist controllers with tax accounting, year-end provision and tax forecasting under IFRS
  • Provide input and advice to Transfer Pricing and VAT projects
  • Monitor and anticipate tax legislative changes and identify any impact on the Group; driving opportunities and mitigating risks
  • Work closely with cross-functional building effective working relationships

About you;

  • Recognized tax qualification
  • EMEA tax experience, ideally from an in-house environment
  • Experience in in transfer pricing, tax treaty, CFCs,
  • Experience with OECD guidelines (BEPS) and cross-border reorganizations,
  • Proven track record in managing tax compliance and tax accounting process
  • Some experience with US international tax is an advantage
