Our client is a leading global organization seeking a Tax Director to oversee tax operations across multiple jurisdictions. This role involves balancing complex priorities, establishing new processes, and making strategic decisions to drive business results. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in tax compliance, global tax strategy, and enterprise risk management.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in office and 2 days working from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review tax returns for federal and international income taxes, property tax, and state/local taxes.
  • Lead the preparation of global tax provisions, including FAS109 and FIN48 reporting.
  • Maintain the global tax calendar and ensure timely compliance with all filing deadlines.
  • Review book to tax adjustments including reconciling tax filings to tax provisions, maintaining tax basis balance sheets, and testing deferred tax balances.
  • Review international tax issues including foreign filings and transfer pricing.
  • Stay updated on available tax credits, including Foreign Tax Credits, R&D Credits, and more.
  • Manage tax audits and respond to regulatory inquiries.
  • Lead process improvement projects, including business partnering with foreign and domestic stakeholders within the company.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years of broad tax experience, with exposure to US and international tax operations.
  • 5+ years of leadership experience in tax management.
  • Proven experience in xmanaging global relationships and working in cross-functional teams.

Education & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; MST preferred.
  • CPA, MST, or JD is required.
  • Strong ability to navigate high-paced environments and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proficient in MS Excel and Word; advanced Excel and forecasting software experience preferred.
