The company seeks an experienced and proactive tax attorney to join its Tax Planning group, which is responsible for advising on all tax-related issues affecting the firm and the funds it advises, and structuring our business and transactions to achieve tax-efficient outcomes. WHAT YOU’LL DO DAY-TO-DAY:
You’ll work closely with our legal, trading, investment, and other teams across the firm on diverse issues ranging from tax compliance to fund and deal structuring to briefing senior management about legislative changes. Deal and structuring work will involve modeling outcomes under different assumptions and assessing and protecting against risks in an environment of uncertainty. You’ll also work closely with internal and external counsel, often involving multiple jurisdictions, to draft and comment on documents and legal terms. You’ll be expected to stay abreast of the latest developments in domestic and foreign law and market practice, as well as generate innovative solutions and ideas while adhering to the highest ethical standards. You may also be asked to represent the firm in front of government auditors and regulators.
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Candidates should be tax attorneys with four to seven years of law firm and/or relevant industry experience.
- Creative thinkers with rigorous attention to detail, well-developed communication abilities, and comfort with basic financial analysis are highly sought-after.
- Experience working in private and public credit markets, including cross-border experience, is highly preferred.
